Upcoming Food Events - Don't miss the demolition of the world's largest Pinyata TODAY!

Here's a list of some fun food events coming up in the Philadelphia area! Remember, if you have an event you'd like us to mention next Sunday, just email us the details at pennappetit.blog@gmail.com.

Sunday, November 2 (TODAY!)
12:00 noon - 3:00
Intersection of South Broad St. and Washington

Come see the world's largest pinyata . . . and grab some of the 8,000 pounds of candy it drops when it's destroyed! Demolition of the six-story beast (by wrecking ball, no wiffle ball bats here) is scheduled for about 1:30 pm.

--------

Saturday, November 22
Cliveden of the National Trust, 6401 Germantown Avenue

Tickets $15; call 215-848-1777 to order

Just in time for the Holidays, Chef John Reese will demonstrate creative, yet inexpensive ways to decorate tables and platters for special occasions. Chef Reese shapes fruits, vegetables, and other materials to create food art settings worthy of all guests. Light refreshments will be served afterwards. Space is very limited and reservations should be made by phone. The demonstration will be filmed and DVDs will be available for purchase at the end of the event.
