This week is all about the booze in Philadelphia, with several guides cropping up in the blogosphere for Philly's Beer Week 2011, which runs from June 3-12:
- Under the Button's guide urges Penn kids to get out of West Philly with a schedule of its top picks
- Uwishunu has compiled several guides: top festivals to check out, wacky events, specials at Stephen Starr and Jose Garces's restaurants, a special look at West Philly's MidAtlantic Restaurant & Taproom, and "Meet the Brewer" events
- Philadelphia Weekly's comprehensive guide goes into the history of the event
- Grub Street Philly's guide attempts to navigate the "sudsy seas" of events
- Taking a different approach, Foobooz has created a Philly Beer Week tumblr to cover the week's events
- Meal Ticket lists both its must-sees for lovers of sour beer and the top beer-centric food events, as well as reports how Capogiro has joined in by creating beer-based flavors like "Rogue Chocolate Stout"
- To celebrate the week, The Inquirer hosted a "Brew-vitational" where Craig LaBan and seven other taste-testers sampled 38 local beers, check out the rest of Inky's beer week coverage, including an article on beer cooking
